In Network Insurance Companies.
Each insurance plan has different authorization requirements. Private insurance companies such as; Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, and Cigna have requirements that vary from policy to policy. RightStart Therapy Services will verify your speech therapy benefits with your insurance plan to determine out of pocket expenses and service limitations prior to your first visit. Verification of benefits is not a guarantee of payment; payment is determined when claims are submitted and is based on plan provisions and exclusions.
Medicaid requires that therapy providers receive a referral from your child’s doctor prior to services being rendered. If needed, RightStart Therapy Services can assist you with requesting this referral from your child’s doctor.
PeachState Health Plan requires therapy providers to obtain authorization for therapy services. This authorization process takes place once the speech/occupational therapy evaluation is complete and a plan of care is signed by the referring physician. This process can take 7-10 business days to complete.
Amerigroup Community Care also requires authorization to be obtained once the speech/occupational therapy evaluation is complete and the plan of care is signed by the referring physician. This process can take 7-10 business days to complete.
We are NOT accepting Wellcare insurance at this time. Please contact Georgia Families or Wellcare of Georiga for a list of in-network providers.
If your child has an active Individual Education Plan (IEP), it is extremely important that you bring this with you to your first appointment. We must submit the IEP with all therapy authorization requests to your insurance plan. This is to make sure that services are not being duplicated and that we provide the best quality of service to your child.
