    Maria Lindsey is a certified licensed speech-language pathologist.  She received her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia in 2002.  She received her Master’s degree from University of Georgia in speech-language pathology in 2004.  She became a speech-language pathologist because of her love and passion for her family members with Fragile X, Cerebral Palsy, Williams Syndrome, and Fragile X Tremor and Ataxia Syndrome. She worked in Gwinnett County Public Schools for 10 years where she worked with a variety of disabilities.  Maria is married with a daughter, a son, and 2 dogs!  She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, watching sports, and furthering her education in speech-language pathology.

          Debra has been a Speech/Language Pathologist for 36 years. She received her BS.Ed. from the University of Georgia and completed her Master’s Degree at Georgia State University. Debra holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. She is also a member of the Georgia Speech-Language Hearing Association and is licensed by the Georgia State Board of Examiners. Debra began her career working in several public school districts serving students ages 3-21.

          This experience has afforded her the opportunity to work with children with Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Emotional/Behavioral Disorders, Swallowing and Feeding disorders as well as children who have needed AAC as a means for functional communication. Later, she branched out and began working with the Birth-3 population serving little ones in their homes, daycares, and preschools. Currently, Debra is involved with ongoing training and use of Oral Placement Therapy Techniques.  Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) uses a hierarchical based approach to improve speech clarity and feeding skills in individuals of all ages and across diagnoses.

          Debra has been with RightStart Therapy Services since 2013.

          In her spare time, Debra enjoys traveling with her husband, playing tennis and shopping.
